Environmentally Friendly Chewing Gum Removal:

 

Large quantities of chewing gum is thoughtlessly discarded in public places every day. This is a modern menace which affects us all.

Crystal Clean of Carnforth can remove chewing gum from almost any surface such as block paving, asphalt, concrete, natural stone, metal, wood, carpet, entrance mats to name but a few.

To remove chewing gum, we use a specialist “Gum Busting” machine from Steam Clean UK that provides super heated steam at 175° C delivered at 8 bar pressure. The steam injects an environmentally friendly, biodegradable, non-caustic detergent on to the chewing gum, which is agitated with a wire (on hard surfaces) or nylon (on soft surface or carpet) brush.  

The gum is dissolved in about 3 to 6 seconds per piece and forms a fine non sticky powder that can either be swept up or vacuumed when dry.
